Founder of the firm
Israel Klar - founder and senior geotechnical engineer

Israel Klar is among Israel's most experienced geotechnical engineers. He completed his civil engineering studies at the Technion through Israel's Academic Reserve program, earning a BSc with honors in 1969 and an MSc in geotechnical engineering in 1974. He later received the Israel Association of Civil Engineers Award for Professional Excellence.
From an independent practice to a multidisciplinary firm
Israel Klar founded the practice in 1981. What began as a small engineering office developed into a multidisciplinary geotechnical firm serving projects in Israel and abroad. Dozens of engineers have worked under his guidance; many went on to establish independent practices or take senior roles in national infrastructure organizations.
A contribution measured across generations
Israel Klar's professional influence now spans generations. Dozens of engineers developed their expertise at the firm and worked alongside him; some went on to establish independent practices, while others assumed senior positions in national companies. Viewed in professional terms, he is a father to one generation of geotechnical engineers and a grandfather to the next. This intergenerational story also has a direct family dimension through his son, Professor Assaf Klar, who has educated many engineers in geotechnical engineering and tunneling at the Technion over the years.
He is known for technical creativity, diligence and close attention to detail, together with a direct personal commitment to clients and colleagues. These qualities, and his distinctive sense of humor, have made him a widely respected figure in civil engineering.
